LAS Major and Local Photographer Document Life in Brazil : Please follow the link to the Lawrence Journal World to read about the one of kind photography project of LAS student Sarah Stern. Stern traveled to Rocinha, a slum of Rio de Janeiro, to work on a photography book depicting life in area. Stern traveled with a world renowned photographer and videographer and contributed by taking pictures and translating Portuguese.
