Global Opportunities Expo Agenda


The 2022 Global Opportunities Expo will include: panels on varying topics regarding global citizenry, careers, identity, languages, and study abroad; crash courses on varying global topics and performance arts from around the world! Check out the schedule of events below to get a more detailed look at the two-day event. Please note that due to availibility some of the crash courses and performances may be subject to time changes. We are also working on identifying Zoom rooms to host the varying events throughout each day. We will do out best to keep attendees notified and updated.

When engaged in global studies, whether abroad or at home, a person’s identities often intersect with what they think, say, or do. This panel gathers students who are negotiating their identities and are trying to achieve a sense of belonging while active in field research, study abroad, or global studies.

A panel of undergraduate and graduate students will share their experiences studying abroad, working in international internships, volunteering in civil service and/or navigating graduate degrees in area studies. Students will also share what they learned, what they wish they knew beforehand, or offer suggestions to prospective students.

This session will feature Guy Sechrist, Assistant Professor of History at Donnelly College.
