Latin American and Caribbean Studies Travel and Research Graduate Fellowships

The Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies will offer 1-2 research fellowships (generally $500 -1000 each, depending on budget) for graduate students conducting dissertation research in Latin America / the Caribbean.

For both Tinker and Travel and Research Applications: Selection will be based on the proposal narrative, grade point average, letters of recommendation, and budget. Recipients of other awards (e.g. FLAS) are eligible. Applications for the fellowship will open Spring semester. Applications should include:

• Proposal, not to exceed 4 double-spaced pages, which describes the student’s current research project and its significance;
• Estimated, detailed budget;
• Unofficial transcripts from graduate work (KU Advising Report);
• Applications should also include two letters of recommendation, emailed directly to Marta Caminero-Santangelo by the recommender.
