Silver Torch Cactus

Cleistocactus Strausii is also commonly known as the ‘Silver Torch Cactus’. As the plant matures you can expect it to reach up to around 3 m (10ft) and about 6 cm (2.5″) in diameter. The cactus has 25 ribs are covered with areoles the tall have spines coming from them. When it flowers it is deep red to burgundy red.

Native to Argentina and Bolivia, the Silver Torch is capable withstanding hot desert days and extreme colds at night.
