The Kansas Paraguay Partners

Formed in 1968, the Kansas-Paraguay Partners and its Paraguayan counterpart the Comité Paraguay Kansas is an international volunteer organization promoting people-to-people exchanges between Paraguayans and Kansans. Both organizations are members of the Partners of the Americas (POA), the Western hemisphere’s largest private, completely apolitical volunteer organization.  The Partners offer several scholarships for U.S. undergraduates interested in studying in Paraguay as well as guidance for students interested in creating a program and connections to external resources.  Since Paraguay has no formal study abroad programs, KU students must create a student-initiated program (SIP) through the KU Office of Study Abroad.  It is necessary to meet with an OSA program coordinator before beginning this process.  For more information about KPP's scholarships and opportunities in Paraguay, contact Sonia Cox.
